Made an appearance in Charleston yesterday at Shelly Moore Capito's grand opening of her new campaign office along side some of my Coal Festival Sister Queens. Shelly was very down to earth and eager to see us & we were extremely excited to see her and say THANK YOU for all of her hard work within the coal industry. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and the food was fantastic :). We wish her luck on her campaign and look forward to seeing what she does in the future! She also mentioned that she would like a coal crown and sash so we may have a new head Coal Queen on our hands here! Thanks again for allowing us to celebrate with you.

Last night I had the honor of being asked to represent WV at the Relay for Life event at my University. Kyle Rheude, the man behind it all, asked me to go grab my crown and sash and walk a couple laps with him. While walking we got to know a little more about each other & he is truly amazing. When hes not doing things with his fraternity Alpha Sigma Phi (the best frat of course) he spends his time doing things like this to better his community. Kyle has been working on this since June & his passion was evident. It was so great to see how many people came out last night and great to see Marshall's Greek community unite for this wonderful cause. Its people like Kyle that make this world go round & make me extremely proud to be a part of a University that has students who dedicate themselves to making a difference. Congratulations on a VERY successful event & thanks for having me! #RepresentTheNight

Today I had the incredible opportunity to be interviewed by Marshall University's newspaper, The Parthenon. I was so excited to share my story and talk about what everyone could expect from me during my year. Going into the interview I was a little bit nervous, but felt right at home as she started asking me questions about the International system and my platform. I am beyond excited to snatch up a newspaper this week and see what the article has to say. Im very proud to be a daughter of John Marshall & attend a school that is so interested in their students achievements. Thanks again to The Parthenon! I will post a link to the article as soon as I get it! We Are...
